Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

In Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Harry is 14 and it mysteriously picked for the tri wizard tournament which is meant for 18+. But in spite of that he is still chosen, he and everyone else has no idea how that happened. Everyone thinks that he is lying and believes that he is the one that put his name into the goblet. The movie uses this theme showing him that he is truly alone in this, even during class time. His best friend even thinks that he betrayed him. As he progressed his friends started to talk to him more and slowly came back.

This theme of loneliness is portrayed through some angles as well. It starts when Ron confronts him in the dorms. When he talks to someone for the first half of the movie I can tell that he is somewhat distanced or not looking at them. You can also tell that his mood changes because he doesn't know what is happening during this time as well. So when Malfoy confronts him trying to make fun of him like usual, he loses it and confronts him where the professor protects Harry from getting attacked from behind.

The camera shows the focus is on him and most of the time when he is making hard decisions it slows down and h freezes as it slowly zooms in on him. It shows that he is trying to make a decision that is correct because throughout he has been wronged and he wants to do what can get him out of somewhere instead of helping. But in the end he always chooses to be the bigger person and help out. These angles show this type of conflict within the character which in a way humanizes Harry.
